History

Southport Gun Club, Inc. was conceived, funded and constructed in 1954 by local shooters using volunteer labor and donated materials. In addition to membership fees, the club derives income by sponsoring NRA sanctioned competitions.

The vitality of the club is directly related to the diversity of its members and their enthusiasm toward its continued success. We pride ourselves in being good neighbors and contribute to the community by conducting firearms and hunter safety training programs. Members also provide manpower to manage NRA Sectionals and Wisconsin State Indoor Championships for competitive shooters.

Business meetings are open to the public and are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
